Our Story

Label Swati Kumar began the way most honest things do - quietly, over years, before it had a name.

I grew up around fabric. My father has run a garment business for as long as I can remember, and somewhere between bolts of cloth and half-finished samples, it became mine too - not a hobby, but a language I picked up without meaning to.

Then life took me to Canada, and for a while, this dream sat waiting. When I came back, I didn't want to keep waiting anymore. Label Swati Kumar is that long-overdue beginning - built on fabric first, silhouette second, with no interest in staying inside one box.

I don't want to be boxed into "Western" or "traditional." I want to make what feels right - contemporary when it wants to be, rooted when it needs to be — without asking permission from a category. That's the only real rule here: no boundaries, just pieces made with care.

This is where it starts.
